5 hurt in Elgin crash

Five people were injured Thursday in a two-vehicle crash in Elgin, authorities said.

At around 12:30 p.m., two cars collided near the intersection of South McLean Boulevard and Carr Street, police said. No one was hurt seriously, according to police.

The intersection was closed for about an hour while debris from the crash was cleared, police said.

Police said they are still investigating the cause of the crash, and no further information was immediately available.
