Longtime Palatine business owner dies
Longtime Palatine photography business owner Bob Kramer died Tuesday, according to an announcement from the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber Director Steven Gaus said family members were with Kramer when he died.
"We will miss Bob's smile and always positive outlook at our meetings and committees," Gaus wrote in an email. "And we will miss his friendship."
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Tohle Funeral Home, 4325 W. Lawrence Ave. in Chicago. A funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, at St. Edward Church, 4350 West Sunnyside Ave. in Chicago.
Kramer was honored in May at a Palatine Business Spotlight event to commemorate his nearly 40 years in business and many contributions to the community since 1979. In addition to a downtown Palatine studio, Kramer owned Kramer Photographers locations in Naperville and St. Charles.
