Wauconda to honor police officers
The Wauconda Police Department will honor several officers for lifesaving efforts and other accomplishments during a ceremony Wednesday. The gathering is set for 3 p.m. at village hall, 101 N. Main St. Among the recipients are officers who successfully administered drugs to help people who'd suffered opioid overdoses. Other officers will be honored for their work in a narcotics investigation, for dealing with an armed and suicidal person and for other cases.
