Fox Lake parents, police, seeking missing teen

The parents of a Fox Lake teen who has been missing since Sunday are asking people who may have seen the girl to call police.

Sydney Weber, 15, took a ride-share to a Dunkin' Donuts in Gurnee, where the teen met up with another vehicle and drove off, said her father, David Weber.

Weber said a friend of the teen received a text at 8 a.m. the next day saying she was fine and “living life.”

“The phone has been off ever since,” Weber said. “We have been texting her but have not received anything back.”

Fox Lake Police Chief Jimmy Lee said officers are investigating.

Sydney is about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 110 pounds, has black and purple hair and blue eyes. She wears braces and is seen often carrying a large backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fox Lake Police Department at (847) 587-3100.
