Route 12 lane closures start Monday
Daily lane closures in both directions will take place on Route 12 near Route 59 in the Barrington area beginning Monday, weather permitting.
Closures are needed to complete preliminary work for a bridge replacement project on westbound Route 12 over Route 59. Initial work is required to build a new lane configuration to accommodate construction.
In the new traffic pattern, both directions of traffic will be shifted onto eastbound Route 12, providing one lane in each direction. The southbound Route 59 ramp under westbound Route 12 will have daily shoulder closures.
The project is expected to be completed in the fall.
