Lake Zurich school rehearses for production of 'Chaperone'

Lake Zurich Middle School North held a dress rehearsal for its upcoming production of "The Drowsy Chaperone" Tuesday night at the school.

The tour-de-force show within a show features stopping songs, plenty of dancing, amazing costumes and plenty of hilarity.

The production is directed by Mary Beth Euker and Robin Kern, and involves over 90 students in the cast and crew.

In "The Drowsy Chaperone," four different love stories are told simultaneously via a wacky cast of characters including a bumbling best man, an audacious theater producer, gangsters disguised as pastry chefs, a dimwitted hostess and even monkeys.

All performances will be held at Lake Zurich Middle School North, 95 Hubbard Lane, Hawthorn Woods. The performance dates are Thursday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for reserved seating and $8 for general seating. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at http://lzmsn.seatyourself.biz
