Schaumburg Youth Orchestra sets audition schedule

The Schaumburg Youth Orchestra is holding auditions for the 2018-19 season over several sessions, taking place May 22, 24, 29, 30 and 31 and June 1.

To schedule an audition, call (847) 923-3604 by May 18. Students are asked to schedule an appointment for the ensemble that best matches their playing level.

The Schaumburg Youth Orchestra program offers four ensembles: Schaumburg Youth Symphony Orchestra, consisting of strings, winds, brass and percussion; Schaumburg Youth Concert Orchestra, including string, woodwind, brass and percussion students; Schaumburg Youth Sinfonia Strings, an advanced string orchestra, performing music literature from a wide variety of styles and composers; and the Schaumburg Youth String Ensemble, designed to give developing students a chance to improve their playing skills both in a small group seeing and as an orchestra.
