Cinderella's Closet makes prom dreams come true at Elgin YWCA

For those who want to go to prom but can't afford to spend a lot on a dress, the YWCA in Elgin was the place to be Saturday.

The YWCA hosted the 14th annual Cinderella's Closet event Saturday where high school girls could shop for dresses, jewelry, purses, shoes and makeup for a $15 suggested donation.

Any girl enrolled in high school was welcomed.

Claire's provided jewelry to the girls and Marin Salon & Spa created basic updos for attendees.
