Four arrested on retail theft charges in Wheaton

Four people are facing retail theft charges after police said they stole thousands in merchandise from a Wheaton Victoria's Secret store Wednesday.

Police responded to a reported retail theft at the store at 151 East Loop Drive in Wheaton Wednesday, officials said. Three suspects reportedly left the store with more than $2,000 in merchandise and fled in a car waiting in the parking lot. The car was later stopped by officers, police said.

Darius Irving, 27, and Monique Sanders, 24, both of Chicago, were arrested along with two juveniles, police said. All four were charged with retail theft, which could carry a penalty of up to five years in prison.
