Chili Open lives up to its name Saturday in Des Plaines
People who like a challenge showed up Saturday to play nine holes of golf in 12 degree weather.
Club Casa served chili to warm people off afterward and beverages of all kinds were available for purchase.
The Chili Open was for ages 8 and up.

Golfers braving the 12 degree weather in the January sunshine head out at the Chili Golf outing at the Golf Center in Des Plaines. Warm chili was waiting for them when they finished and if a golfer had been lucky enough to hit a hole-in-one, the person would have won a membership to the club.
