Sanguinetti in Schaumburg Friday to honor local governments

Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti will join several local leaders from various public entities in Schaumburg on Friday, to recognize their efforts to consolidate, share services and save taxpayers money.

Among the agencies to be recognized are the Northwest Educational Council for Student Success, the Wheeling Park District for the Heritage Park flood-control project and Schaumburg Park District's KASPER program.

KASPER - which stands for Kids After School Program with Enrichment and Recreation - is a cooperative effort between the district, village of Schaumburg, Schaumburg Township Elementary School District 54 and Twinbrook YMCA to provide after-school care for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
