Palatine traffic crackdown results

Palatine police have announced results from a traffic enforcement crackdown that occurred around Thanksgiving. Police, in particular, conducted seat belt enforcement from Nov. 17-27, reminding motorists to buckle up and not drive impaired, day or night, as part of the nationwide Click It or Ticket mobilization. During the mobilization, Palatine police issued 93 seat belt citations, 12 speeding citations, two uninsured motorists' citations, 71 illegal use of mobile phone while driving citations and 33 other traffic-related tickets, and made two DUI arrests.
