Palatine church using solar energy
Officials from Countryside Church Unitarian Universalist in Palatine say 95 solar panels have been installed on the building's roof. They say the building is among a few churches in the Chicago area using the sun's renewable energy. Officials said the solar panel project, overwhelmingly supported by the 300-member-plus congregation, puts Unitarian Universalist values to care for the earth into action and makes economic and financial sense.
