Police: Two men tried to carjack person in Lisle

Lisle police are investigating a report of an attempted carjacking early Wednesday morning on the 800 block of McKenzie Station Drive.

Deputy Police Chief Ron Wilke said the victim was sitting in his parked vehicle about 1:20 a.m. when another car pulled behind him and blocked him in the driveway.

Two men approached his vehicle and pointed guns at him, but the victim told police he didn't know what they were saying because his windows were closed.

The man told police he put his car in reverse and drove backward until he struck the suspects' car. The men then got in their own car and fled east on Ogden Avenue.

The victim said the men were wearing dark hats or masks and drove a dark sedan, which now has minor damage to the front passenger side.

Wilke said a similar case was reported in Aurora involving a gray sedan.

Anyone with information related to the attempted carjacking is asked to call Lisle police at (630) 271-4200.
