Nippersink trail connection nearly finished
A majority of the work associated with a bike path connection from Cedar Lake Road to the Nippersink Forest Preserve trail near Round Lake is nearly complete.
The trail is part of a larger project to rebuild and widen Cedar Lake Road to three lanes, including a center turn lane, from Route 120 to Nippersink Road. That work is scheduled to begin in spring and will be complete by the end of 2018, according to the Lake County Division of Transportation.
