Mount Prospect veteran on 'Wheel of Fortune' Friday

U.S. Army veteran Bill Swiniuch of Mount Prospect will compete on “Wheel of Fortune” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, on ABC 7 as one of the contestants during the game show's “Veterans Week.”
By appearing on the show, Swiniuch carries on a family tradition — his grandfather having been a contestant 30 years ago.
With he and his wife expecting a younger sibling for their 2-year-old son in January, Swiniuch hopes to win enough money to buy a minivan for his growing family.
Swiniuch was in the Army for 13 years and served as a sniper. His service included two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
He and his wife married three years ago.
