Scarecrow Festival on Oct. 21 in Barrington

Barrington will hold its annual Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, Oct. 21. The 17th edition will be a family-friendly free event at Memorial Park at Hough and Lincoln avenues. It'll run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Bob the DJ as master of ceremonies. Highlights will include free pumpkin, scarecrow, and cookie decorating, along with pony rides, inflatable games, face painting and other fun activities throughout the day. Visitors are asked to bring old clothes for scarecrow decorating.
