One killed Saturday in Ingleside crash

A 57-year-old Ingleside man died Saturday morning after his pickup truck hit a tree, authorities said.

Police didn't release the victim's name Saturday because his family hadn't yet been notified.

The accident happened about 6:30 a.m. on Rollins Road near Wilson Boulevard in the Ingleside area, Lake County sheriff's police said in a news release.

The man was headed east on Rollins in a 1998 Dodge Ram when the pickup truck entered a curve and veered off the north side of the road into a tree.

Because of the extensive damage, it took emergency crews about an hour to free the man from the truck, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Sheriff's police and the Lake County coroner's office are investigating.
