The Mecum 2017 three-day collector-car auction opened Thursday afternoon at the Schaumburg Convention Center.
The event, which runs through Saturday, brings an estimated 1,000 collector cars to the Northwest suburbs, headlined by American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, hot rods and others.
General admission tickets each day are available for $20 in advance online at mecum.com and for $30 at the door and online once the auction begins. Children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission.
Doors open daily at 8 a.m., with the auction beginning at 10 a.m. today and Saturday, Oct. 7.
Mecum Chicago 2017 will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network.
The Schaumburg Convention Center is at 1551 Thoreau Drive North, near the northeast corner of Meacham Road and the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway.
