No one injured in Lindenhurst house fire

Officials are working to determine the cause of a fire that damaged a home in Lindenhurst early Thursday.

Firefighters were called to the 2300 block of Greenbriar Drive at 7:27 a.m. for a fire that spread from second-story deck into the home's attic, said Chief Doug Slazes of the Lake Villa Fire Protection District.

Occupants were out of the two-story home when firefighters arrived, Slazes said. The fire was extinguished quickly and no injured were reported, he added.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation, Slazes said.

Firefighters from Fox Lake provided station coverage for Lake Villa while the fire was tended to.
