Food, fun highlight Wauconda Street Dance

Water fights, music and food marked Saturday's 18th annual Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce Street Dance.

The Wauconda Fire District kicked off the fun with its annual water fights held at Main and Mill streets.

The street dance included two stages of entertainment, teen scene with DJ, bouncy house, climbing wall, dancing, local cuisines and drinks.

Corn, brats and pretzels, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, shave ice, smoothies and sandwiches were some of the treats sold by Wauconda-area restaurants.

A 50/50 raffle was held to support the Wauconda/Island Lake Food Pantry and a canned good collection was held to help the cause.
