Mount Prospect police investigating home burglaries of two homes
Mount Prospect police are reminding residents to lock their doors after burglars entered homes this week.
Burglars entered two homes through unlocked doors overnight last Saturday in the 1800 block of West Willow Lane. The residents were sleeping during the burglaries.
Burglars stole a purse from one home, which was found nearby with the contents removed, but did not take anything from the other home, police said.
The burglars appear to have been looking for unlocked doors because there was no evidence of force being used to enter the homes, police said.
