Two hold up Chinese food delivery driver in South Elgin

South Elgin police are looking for two suspects in an armed robbery Friday night.

Police Sgt. Mike Doty said the robbery occurred around 11:10 p.m. in the 300 block of Pleasant Drive.

A Chinese food delivery driver told officers that two masked men approached him with handguns drawn. The assailants left with an undisclosed amount of cash, a cellphone and the food, fleeing on foot. Police dogs searched but came up empty.

Doty said police have some leads and are still pursuing the suspects. He said the driver was unhurt in the encounter.
