Mix of entertainment at Lake County Fair

The Lake County Fair provided an eclectic mix of entertainment Saturday that included a livestock auction, pie eating contest and a variety of music.

The Pro Rodeo Stampede, Battle of the Bands, and antique tractor parade also were among the county fair highlights at the fairgrounds in Grayslake.

There was no shortage of live entertainment. The Georgia Rae Family Band, Mallrats, Catfight, The Westerlees, Gasoline n Matches, Mandy Z & Rural Route One, The Lid Flippers, Mariachi Monumental de Mexico and Zydeco Voodoo kept the music flowing on the fair's many stages.

And there was plenty to learn about through the many demonstrations that included 4-H small pets, poultry, goat milking, beekeeping and cheese, beer and wine making.

The fair continues from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
