Remodeled Burger King opening soon in Rolling Meadows

It won't be long until you can get your Whopper sandwiches and fries again at a Rolling Meadows Burger King.

Crews have been working since the spring on $250,000 worth of renovations at the fast food restaurant on the southwest corner of Algonquin and New Wilke roads.

City Manager Barry Krumstok said the restaurant is weeks away from reopening, potentially by the end of July.

Krumstok said the remodel has included a complete "re-skining" by replacing the roof and sides, along with an interior gutting. There's new logos outside and a sign above the entry proclaiming, "Flame Grilling Since 1954" - part of the burger chain's recent marketing efforts.

The building practically looks new, but it's on the same footprint, Krumstok said.
