Pedestrian struck in Des Plaines crosswalk

A woman in her 30s was taken to the hospital after a vehicle struck her in a crosswalk Tuesday in Des Plaines, officials say.

The woman, whose identity police did not release, was walking in a temporary crosswalk at 1:10 p.m. at Wolf and Algonquin Roads when the crash happened, police said Tuesday.

The woman was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in stable condition, police said.

It was unclear whether anyone was cited.
