Buffalo Grove promotes three police officers

With the retirement of Deputy Chief Roy Bethge, Buffalo Grove police have promoted three members of the department.

Sworn in as deputy chief at last week's village board meeting was Lt. Scott Eisenmenger. A police officer since 1995, he was promoted to sergeant in 2007 and lieutenant in 2014. He has received multiple commendations, honorable mentions, an employee of the quarter award, numerous citizen letters of appreciation and was named a Certified Eligible Police Chief by the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.

Tara Anderson, who was hired as a desk officer in 2000, sworn in as officer in 2001 and promoted to sergeant in 2014, was promoted last week to lieutenant. She has received several employee of the quarter awards, as well as an outstanding achievement award and numerous citizen letters of appreciation.

Officer Thomas Dattilo was promoted to sergeant. Hired as a desk officer in 1984, he became a community service officer in 1985 and was sworn in as an officer in 1986. He, too, has received several department honorable mentions, a department commendation, an outstanding achievement award and numerous citizen letters of appreciation.
