Lake Zurich dodgeball fundraiser
Lake Zurich Middle School South's student council will host a fundraising dodgeball tournament Thursday, May 25. Officials said the students will raise money to benefit NephCure, a nonprofit organization that provides support to people who suffer from kidney diseases. The charity is close to home for Middle School South physical education teacher Nate Boekholder, whose daughter has Nephrotic Syndrome. The dodgeball team that raises the most money for NephCure will have get to shave Boekholder's head during an all-school assembly Friday, May 26. "Hopefully everyone has fun while supporting a good cause," Boekholder said.
