Anthem endurance

Interesting comment from Mark McCarter, who asks, "If the national anthem is so revered and demands so much respect at sporting events, then why is only the first verse sung?" He follows that with, "Try singing all four verses and see how many patrons stand and endure."

Mark, it's my firm belief that, should the entire anthem was sung, the kneelers would tire of it long before those standing and singing it would.
