Waste is bipartisan
The 2018 $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill to fund the government for the next six months should once and for all destroy the myth that Republicans are fiscally conservative. First of all, the GOP-controlled Congress should have passed a bill to fund the government for 2018 by the deadline of Oct. 1, 2017.
Instead Congress, as it is wont to do, ignores the Oct. 1 deadline and instead of passing individual spending bills, waits until there is a threat of a government shutdown and then passes an omnibus spending that is loaded with wasteful pork barrel spending.
If anyone is interested in learning how Congress and the president waste our tax dollars, I suggest that they visit the website Citizens Against Government Waste. There is almost no difference between Republicans and Democrats - both are guilty of outrageous wasteful spending.
