GOP congressmen selling out for Trump
President Donald Trump forwarded three inflammatory tweets from a person convicted of racial hate crimes in the UK. He did not bother to check on the veracity of the information he forwarded and now at least one of those tweets has been proven false and the other two are questionable.
Elizabeth Sanders has said that it doesn't matter if the videos Trump forwarded are true or not. How can any of the GOP congressmen stay quiet about this?
When Trump pushed the outrageous and racist "birther" argument about President Obama they all knew was a lie, they stayed quiet and Trump became their presidential candidate. When he insulted a Gold Star family, mocked a disabled reporter, and called on Putin to dig up dirt on Hillary Clinton, they stayed quiet and he became president.
He is now blatantly forwarding racist hate communication and we are told that facts don't matter, and still GOP congressmen stay quiet. These congressmen have sold their souls to the devil. Do they not realize that when Trump faces no consequences for his actions, he will only be emboldened?
Is it really worth it to let Trump crumple up and throw away the very Judeo-Christian values on which our country was built in order to pass an unpopular, unproved tax plan?
