Only the wealthy get help from GOP
An open letter to Peter Roskam, U.S. House of Representatives for the 6th District of Illinois:
On my last attempt to express, via the phone, my opposition to the recent tax bill, I was again thwarted by your aides' attempt to re-educate me rather than taking the message. That was the second time I had attempted to leave a message at your Barrington office. On my first encounter. my message was not the "party line" and instead of just taking the message I got an argument.
To clarify: I do not approve of the proposed tax reform. Aside from NOT helping the middle class, it gives tax breaks to corporations, read Trumps' businesses among others in the family and cabinet, and individuals who didn't need any more perks from Washington. To do it at a time when the country is operating at a deficit is farcical.
Who is crazy enough to reduce revenue in a period of deficit and then expect the altruism of the "hurray for me" crowd and pie in the sky future profits to make it all up? It didn't work for Reagan and it won't work any better now.
Having been a Republican for 40 years, I can only shout "Goodbye." I will no longer be a silent partner as you, Trump and his billionaire boys club dismantles my country for their pleasure and profit.
