5 questions to ask about gun control

To Congress and the president, it's time to act on the epidemic of gun violence sweeping America. Your thoughts and prayers are not enough. America desperately wants and needs a new gun policy.

There is a common sense solution to this problem, which does not infringe on the Fifth Amendment. Rather than Gun Control, let's simply call it Arms Regulation.

Instead of listening to the NRA, why don't you try listening to your constituents and ask them the following five questions:

Do you think there should be a law banning U.S. citizens from buying and possessing semiautomatic and automatic weapons?

Do you think there should be a law banning the sale and possession of bump stocks or any other devices that would convert a weapon to semi or automatic status?

Do you think the sale and possession of gun silencers should remain illegal?

Do you think background checks for people wanting to buy weapons should be expanded to gun shows and internet sales and include mental health histories?

Do you think the prohibition against computerizing the National Gun Registry should be reversed, thus allowing law enforcement agencies to efficiently track criminal gun activity?

In the majority of all cases, I think the answer to every question will be a resounding "yes."

So it's time to decide whom you work for, the majority of your constituents or the NRA?

It's time for you to do the right thing.
