The battle between truth, opinion

From all that I read these days, I do not believe that most Americans know any longer what is true and what is false.

It occurred to me that if I took this true or false test in 1971 when I was in high school, all my "true" responses would be correct. However, my "true" responses to these same statements in 2017 would be considered incorrect.

TRUE or FALSE:

1. America is one nation under God. T/F

2. When having contact with the police, you should cooperate. T/F

3. Boys should use the boy's restroom and girls should use the girl's restroom. T/F

If truth never changes, then what has changed?

Someone once said that there can only be one truth. Otherwise all that you have are opinions. And so, in our post-Christian America, we are now rejecting God's truth and embracing our many opinions.

Please know that we are in great peril when our nation's once foundation of solid rock (word of God) becomes a foundation of shifting sand (popular opinion).

For the majority of her existence, America's common point of reference regarding truth was the word of God. Today we refer to polls or popular opinion to decide in which way we ought to go.

God's truth is constant. Man's opinions will shift to serve his self-interest.

We know that no structure can stand for long on a foundation of shifting sand.

We can either turn back to God and His truth to enjoy God's grace. Or we can continue embracing our opinions and witness the sudden and tragic collapse of America. It's your choice.
