Nuclear option should not be 'on the table'

There is no moral justification for nuclear war. Why aren't our moral leaders telling us this? Pope Francis, where are you? Killing hundreds of thousands or even millions of people is a crime against humanity that no argument - "mutually assured destruction" or "deterrence" can justify.

When our government says: "All options are on the table", it is morally wrong. Some options shouldn't be on the table. There have to be saner and moral ways to solve international problems. And surely we have the wisdom to find those solutions. As Americans we need a public discussion when there is the possibility or the threat of using thermonuclear weapons.

No death threats please. I am a red-blooded, flag-adoring American who believes that when, as a nation, we act morally and justly, we move the world closer to world peace.

What do you think?
