The Arpaio pardon

I had to shake my head when I read your front page article on Sheriff Arpaio. I am so sick and tired of hearing about rights for criminals. I'm not encouraging abuse by any means, but I hardly think that insisting the prisoners wear pink underwear, pick up trash and live in tents is being abusive.

We constantly tie the hands of the people we hire to keep us safe and then watch as this country's crime rate goes through the roof and that includes illegal immigrants coming in. John McCain and a number of other people seem to have forgotten that this is also a crime. McCain claims that "no one is above the law." Isn't that how criminals feel when they cross our borders illegally and where does it say that prisoners have more rights than the people guarding them? They broke the law; they lose their rights.

According to the left and some Republicans, nothing President Trump does or will ever do will be acceptable, and what I love about the man is he doesn't care. He is doing what he was elected to do. Not everyone that agrees with him on some issues is a racist or hateful. I am so tired of that label whenever we disagree. I, for one, applaud Sheriff Arpaio's methods and am happy to read he is a free man.
