Trump's power is built on cult of personality

At this point, it's plainly clear that Donald Trump is becoming unhinged and is completely unfit to be POTUS. His associates and cabinet heads are resigning and jumping ship like it's the Titanic. His approval polls are the lowest in history and just recently he failed to quickly speak out against the Nazis, KKK and white supremacists in Virginia who shouted among other things "Jews will not replace us." Then he finally made an ambiguous statement about them which garnered a thank you from ex-KKK head David Duke.

Then, in his press conference he defended his two-day delay in naming those groups by saying he needed time to gather all the facts first. Sure like he needed time to single out "radical Islamic terrorists" and had all the facts when he accused President Obama of wire tapping Trump Tower.

One could go on and on, but why do his core supporters still support him? Why can't they see how unfit he is for all of us? I mean we are not in an economic crisis like 1930s Germany which helped bring Hitler to power.

My only conclusion is that those who for whatever reasons felt so left out, so disaffected and so forgotten about voted for him and continue to support him because he seems like a savior to them. Donald Trump has, like many autocrats, established a cult of personality in which his word is ironclad law. However, the majority of the country does not agree with him, and I thank God for the press, the real news, for continuing to report the facts and to let the facts expose this fraud of a man.
