Perma-Seal to move headquarters from Downers Grove
After a four-year search, Perma-Seal Basement Systems selected Burr Ridge for its new headquarters replacing its facilities in Downers Grove.
Founder Roy Spencer unveiled the nearly 140,000-square-foot space by sharing interior and exterior drone footage to the team at the recent 11th annual company meeting.
Perma-Seal chose Newman Architecture of Naperville to design the new space, which will include a community training facility, collaborative office area and efficient warehouse/operations space.
"When we purchased the Downers Grove location over twenty years ago, I never imagined we'd outgrow the space," Spencer said. "Downers Grove has been a wonderful home to us but as we continue to make the world a better place for our customers, our facility could not keep up with our growth. Now, we will finally have a space large enough to support us for many years to come. We are honored that Burr Ridge Mayor Mickey Straub and the village trustees have given us such a warm welcome."
The building, at 412 Rockwell Court, was previously occupied by Panduit Corp. The move to Burr Ridge from their existing Downers Grove location is planned for late 2018. Perma-Seal also has two additional facilities, in Elk Grove Village and Hammond, Indiana, which allows them to serve customers throughout the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas.
COO Laura Ann Spencer said the company focuses on basement waterproofing and foundation repair and employs nearly 200 people.
