Blackhawk Bank opens Elgin facility

Blackhawk Bank recently opened a commercial banking center in Elgin.

After extensive research of eleven counties on both sides of the Illinois and Wisconsin Stateline, Blackhawk Bank identified Kane and McHenry Counties as the right fit for its expansion of business services.

"Research told us that business owners are eager to have a community bank like Blackhawk Bank provide an alternative resource for business banking services. We are delighted to announce that the Elgin office is open with a complete array of banking services for business owners in both Kane and McHenry Counties," said Dave Adkins, president and COO.

Pam Cumpata leads the market initiative. "Pam understands the unique market attributes of Kane and McHenry Counties, and how to help its business owners capitalize on opportunity," Adkins said. "She has over 31 years of expertise in business development and business banking, and served as the president of the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation for the past 8 years."

Cumpata has a Master's degree in Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago and attended Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, participating in the Women's Senior Leadership Program. Cumpata is an advocate of community service, serving as a board director for United Way of Greater McHenry County and Sage YMCA.

Blackhawk Bank has served individuals, families and business owners since 1881. The Bank operates eight full service banking centers in Rockford, Belvidere, Machesney Park and Roscoe, Illinois, and in Beloit and Janesville Wisconsin. The Bank also operates a mortgage processing center in Roscoe, Illinois.
