Palatine chamber honors businesses, leaders

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce honored local businesses and business leaders Friday night with its 2017 Keys to Success event.

Winners emerged from seven categories.

Palatine Bank & Trust captured the Business of the Year award.

Runners up were The Grand at Twin Lakes, Chicago Culinary Kitchen and JP Wood Martial Arts America.

In the New Business category, the award went to Chicago Culinary Kitchen, followed by runners up My Flavor It! Place and Ball4Training.

Chosen as the Business Leader was Janice Wood of JP Wood Martial Arts America. Finishing behind Wood were Eric Marzinke of ProMark Planners and Amber Murans of Left Hand Marketing.

The Palatine Park District captured the Palatine Pride award. Also honored were d'Vine Wine & Gifts and Kramer Photographers.

The Community Organization award was earned by the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council, followed by runners up Faith Community Homes and Journey's The Road Home.

Aaron Del Mar of Let's Pitch In, Palatine and Kate Johnson of the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Center shared the Hero/Heart award. Also honored were Kim Held, Jo Ann Pallay of Pallay Business Coaching, Jodi Suson of Medulla, LLC Chiro One, and Steve Colello of Jewel-Osco Plum Grove Road.

Mohnish Soni won the Rising Star award.
