Woodfield Mall to open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving
Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg will maintain its tradition of opening at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and remaining open for 28 hours before closing at 10 p.m. Black Friday.
Thanksgiving this year is Thursday, Nov. 23 and Black Friday is Nov. 24.
While many shopping centers and national retailers have announced plans to hold off their holiday openings until Black Friday, Woodfield Mall officials wanted to make it clear they're maintaining their post-turkey Thanksgiving tradition.
The mall's nearly 300 retail stores and array of dining and entertainment venues will be filled with festive decor for the holidays.
