CDK Global in Hoffman Estates acquires California company

Hoffman Estates-based CDK Global, a provider of integrated information technology, said it bought Dashboard Dealership Enterprises, a California firm specializing in reporting solutions for auto dealers.

Dashboard is a full-service enterprise reporting company that has grown its customer base to 600 dealership locations over the last 15 years. An innovator in the software industry, the company has a track record of implementing its flagship product, Executive Eye, with some of the largest dealership groups in the U.S.

"We are excited to bring the capabilities of Dashboard Dealership Enterprises to our customers," said CDK Global CEO Brian MacDonald. "By adding industry-leading dashboard and reporting capabilities we will immediately help CDK customers effectively measure the success of their businesses. The company's experience with many of the nation's largest dealers also gives us great confidence in taking Executive Eye to our customer base."

Dealerships have expressed an increasing level of interest in more capable business intelligence and metrics reporting solutions. Because reporting solutions can help dealers identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability, development of tools like Executive Eye will play an important role in CDK's efforts to enable end-to-end automotive commerce.

The acquisition of Dashboard, a current CDK Global Partner Program participant, allows CDK to deliver a more robust reporting solution. The mobile-friendly product offers enterprise-level reporting to help dealers measure and manage their business.

As part of the acquisition, Dashboard CEO Josh Blick and COO William Page III will join CDK.

CDK Global has more than $2 billion in revenues and provides solutions to dealers in more than 100 countries around the world, serving approximately 28,000 retail locations and most automotive manufacturers.
