St. Charles church moves Evensong Prayer Service indoors

Due to the heat wave, St. Charles Episcopal Church will host the Evensong Prayer Service inside the air-conditioned church. It will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the church, 994 N. Fifth Ave.

The music sung will be the "Holden Evening Prayer" by Marty Haugen.

This simple setting of Evening Prayer will offer a refreshing respite from life's daily chores and challenges. The contemporary music uses piano, guitar, flute and other instruments.

The parish will offer a free potluck dinner immediately following the 30-minute service.

All persons are invited to attend, regardless of their religious affiliation.
