Police investigate crash that killed Gurnee man
Police are investigating a crash that killed a 29-year-old Gurnee man on Saturday in Hebron.
According to a news release from the McHenry County coroner's office Tuesday, Mark Ofenloch was driving east on Route 173 when his car veered off the road just east of Price Road, went down an embankment and struck a tree.
Autopsy results determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, chest, spine and abdomen. Toxicology and carbon monoxide testing are underway but are not yet complete.
The McHenry County sheriff' office and coroner's office will continue to investigate the crash.
