Breaking down the Chicago Blackhawks' numbers

Last season - my first full one on the Chicago Blackhawks beat - I began providing our readers with a rundown on what milestones players have yet to reach and which ones they've already achieved.

With three games left in the 2016-17 campaign, this seems to be the perfect time to put this piece out again. Most achievements are of the positive variety, but a few guys need hot finishes to avoid setting career lows.

Patrick Kane• Needs 6 goals for his second straight 40-goal season

• Needs 3 points for second 90-point season

• Is 7 points behind Connor McDavid in race for Art Ross trophy (leading scorer)

• He's going to break career mark for average ice time. Previous record: 20:25 in 2015-16. This season: 21:30.

• With 30 more points and 14 more goals, Kane will move into fifth place in Hawks history in both categories.

Jonathan Toews• Needs 4 goals to avoid setting career low (24 in 2007-08)

• Shooting percentage of 10.3 is a career low (previous worst was 12.4 in 2009-10)

• With 7 more points, Toews will move into eighth place in Hawks history.

Marian Hossa• Became the 26th player in NHL history to record 15 seasons of 20-plus goals.

• With 2 goals vs. Colorado on Nov. 3, he became the all-time goal-scoring leader among Slovakian-born players (504).

• Shooting percentage of 16.0 is his second best (career best is 19.7 in 2002-03)

• Ice time of 16:53 is lowest since rookie season.

• With 20 more goals, Hossa will climb into the top 30 all-time.

Artemi Panarin• Needs 2 goals and 6 points to eclipse last year's totals (30G, 77 points).

• Currently 10th among forwards in points (72). Must stay in top 10 to cash in on $1.725M bonus.

Artem Anisimov• Injured center likely will not return until playoffs. He set a career high with 45 points and a shooting percentage of 21.0 He also tied a career high with 22 goals.

• Only Toronto's William Nylander and Minnesota's Mikael Granlund had a longer point streak this season than Anisimov's 11-game run (Oct. 15-Nov. 6).

Richard Panik• Easily set career highs for goals (22), points (43), plus/minus rating (+16) and hits (145).

Duncan Keith• Has just 16 penalty minutes, which would be a career low (20 in 2014-15).

• Recorded 500th career point with an assist against St. Louis on Feb. 26.

• Needs 6 points to pass Bob Murray for 15th place in Hawks history.

Brent Seabrook• Has career-low 3 goals. Needs 1 to tie previous low of 4, which happened twice.

• Has career-worst shooting percentage of 2.3. (Previous low was 2.8 in 2006-07).

• Recorded 400th career point with an assist at Nashville on March 4.

Niklas Hjalmarsson• Has career high in goals (5), shooting percentage (8.2) and blocked shots (181).

Brian Campbell• Has second-fewest points of his career (17). His worst two seasons came in 2003-04, when he had 11 points, and 2002-03, when he had 19.

• Recorded his 500th career point with an assist vs. Vancouver on Jan. 22.

Trevor van Riemsdyk• Has career highs in goals (5), points (18) and shooting percentage (7.6)

Corey Crawford• Recorded his 202nd career win at Dallas on Feb. 4, moving past Ed Belfour for third in franchise history.

Team• If Ryan Hartman scores 2 more goals, he will become the seventh Blackhawks player to reach 20. Only four previous Hawks teams have had seven 20-goal scorers, the last coming in 1989-90.

• Hawks need 1 win on season-ending three-game road trip to break franchise record (24).

• The Hawks reached 50 victories for just the second time (they won 52 in 2009-10).
