No delays reported on major roads and Metra is running on time. Route 14 between Dimmel and Rose Farm roads in Woodstock is closed due to an accident at about 3:58 a.m. Investigation continues from an earlier accident where a semi-truck rolled on top of a minivan at Route 14 and Hartland Road critically injuring two people, officials said. There's also an accident on Belvidere Road (Route 120) at Mill Road. Traffic report.
Aurora man guilty of 2014 murder
A Kane County jury deliberated less than two hours Monday before convicting an Aurora man of gunning down his ex-girlfriend whom he had two children with in a January 2014 domestic dispute. Christopher Whetstone faces 45 to 85 years in prison for the murder of Rachel Taylor, 22. Full story.
