Access, affordability are not the same thing

I find it truly disgusting that lawmakers, who are provided with taxpayer-supported health care at no cost, are working to dismantle a program that helps middle- and lower-class families obtain insurance coverage. Doesn't it bother anyone in Washington that 14 to 24 million people may lose coverage? It has been said a secure military needs to be our first concern. Well, what do we, the vulnerable citizens of this country, do if we lose our medical coverage? We all know going to the emergency room is not the answer.

I have access to a Mercedes dealership, but that doesn't mean it is an affordable option for basic transportation. I am able to obtain medical care, I just may lose the ability to pay for it.

Healthcare is not a privilege of the well-connected and wealthy, it is a right for all Americans.
