Wheeling brothers plead guilty to unlawful restraint

Two brothers from Wheeling were sentenced to six months in jail and two years of probation after pleading guilty to unlawfully restraining another man in Prospect Heights.

Rolando Bello-Flores, 22, and Fernando Bello-Garcia, 24, were also ordered to pay $709 in fines.

On Oct. 29, 2016, prosecutors said, Bello-Flores and Bello-Garcia approached a man outside a store in a Prospect Heights strip mall. Bello-Flores acted as if he had a firearm and pushed the man from behind about 80 feet to the side of a grocery store on the 600 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.

As Bello-Flores pushed him past the store entrance, the man broke away and entered the store, but Bello-Garcia grabbed him and pulled him back out of the store.

The brothers fled after the man grabbed a bottle and struck Bello-Garcia. They were arrested a short time later.
