Is news of the trivial more important?

It was disappointing to find buried on Page 6 of the March 4 edition of this paper an article of great national, indeed world importance as is the one regarding the gutting by the Trump administration of the Environmental Protection Administration.

The front page instead was devoted instead to a loosing basket ball team moving to a new location within which they may continue to run back and forth with a large ball while wearing sloppy, short pants.

Really? Is this what it takes to maintain the interest of our society, to promote the sale of your product? Is news of the trivial more important than that of the profound?

As I consider the results of this past presidential election I can only conclude that you are probably on the right track.
