I have grown up in Villa Park, raised my family of 6 and now my 6 grandchildren, and I have had 2 business I 've developed in the Village. I want to have a Villa Park that the residents are proud to call their home, again. My experience with the businesses I have developed, including the construction projects I have taken on in the community give me the best qualities to complete the tasks that are needed and lingering in Villa Park. How would you describe the condition of your community's budget, and what are the most important specific actions the town should take to assure providing the level of services that people want? The community's budget is very solid and good. The village needs to continue to properly fund the various departments of the village so that they can provide the services and needs of the community residents. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Until I become the Village President, I do not have the ability to access the budget to the degree where I could determine where there could be qualified adjustments to better serve the village and the residents. But, I know, that there is always ways to stretch the already available dollars that are budgeted to the best degree that will allow the village to do more and buy more. Describe your leadership style and explain how you think that will be effective in producing effective actions and decisions with your village board or city council.I take on projects and see them through to the end. I don't like to waste time on projects because I know time is money and I don't like to waste either of those. Villa Park needs a leader to motivate the village to get a move on the projects that need to be completed. We can't continue to waste more time, effort or money on any of them. What is one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet? After talking to some people on the north side of the village, I have been hearing concerns about getting over the train tracks in time to get to children's schools, appointments and even work. I would like to propose building a bridge over the tracks on one of the main streets. I will be committed to working with state, federal, and rail officials to bring an overpass to Villa Park for its residents. I know that there will be some complexities in such a proposal but I will work long and hard to find every single grant available and combine projects that are already needed to cut costs and allow us to use monies left over from these projects that would avoid taxing our residentsWhat other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office? My family was adamant about working hard for the things you want in life.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?If I could have once thing that I could do-over in my life, I would dedicate my life more to teaching and coaching and would have aspired to become a high school coach and teacher. What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?I loved math while attending school and it helped me to advance my businesses. If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Work hard and never give up, no matter what
